History

The Florida Neighborhoods Conference grew out of a discussion among neighborhood services personnel from around the state in January 1997.Three of these individuals were board members of Neighborhoods USA (NUSA) including the president of NUSA at the time, the late George Manning. Due to the number of neighborhood services offices and the growing interest by Florida residents to make a difference in the community, a decision was made to hold a statewide conference to share ideas and best practices.
