Fort Lauderdale: July 7 – 9, 2011

15th_2011The city of Fort Lauderdale hosted the 15th annual Florida Neighborhoods Conference held at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six July 7-9, 2011. The theme was Fort Lauderdale -Celebrating 100 years 1911 to 2011. Over 200 people attended this 3 day event. Since the conference strive to keep registration fees at a nominal amount, individual, corporate and organizational sponsorship was critical to the success of this event. Seven major sponsors responded with either cash or in-kind donations, including city of Fort Lauderdale, Broward Housing & Community Development Task Force, City Counsel Credit Union, Bank of America, City of Lakeland, City of Oakland Park, and Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-six. Additionally, there were fifteen major sponsors. Twelve educational workshops and four community tours were conducted. For the third time in history of the conference, Fort Lauderdale was honored to demonstrate why our area is such a culturally dynamic and unique place to live and work.
