St. Petersburg: July 8 – 10, 2010

14th_2010Hosted by the Florida Neighborhoods Conference, Inc, the 14th annual Conference was held in St. Petersburg. There were 140 registered participants representing 31 cities/counties and 1 representative from Sandy Springs, Georgia.

There were 12 workshops related to public safety including one workshop track specifically on CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design). Other Workshops included homelessness, crime watch, community policing, abandoned properties, and youth involvement. Major sponsors included: City of St. Petersburg, National Institute of Crime Prevention (NICP), City of Lakeland, Florida Design Out Crime Association (FLDOCA), and the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront.
